Washington, D.C., 24 September 2026 – Launched during the webinar held in observance of World Heart Day 2026, the HEARTS Special Issue of the Pan American Journal of Public Health brings together articles developed by implementation teams, ministries of health, and academic partners from across the Region of the Americas.
The articles document and share evidence on the impact of the initiative on health outcomes and the transformation of health systems across the Region. Through studies, implementation experiences, and quality improvement analyses, the special issue reflects the work of the HEARTS community of practice and contributes to efforts to accelerate hypertension control and reduce the burden of cardiovascular, renal, and metabolic diseases in the Americas.
